Hello all, here is my latest project the 1/48 Stug III B. No purpose bought after market stuff on this build, its all scratch or parts box leftovers.

I got this kit for Fathers Day and started it up but haven't made much progress.

John, what are you using for the screens? I'm working on Tamiya's 1/48 T34 and would like to remove the screen on the back deck, but don't have anything that fine.

One question though,
do you think the rack can hold a full 200 Liter barrel while driving?

Niko, the apples are Magic Sculpt. with styrene stems.

Flak, yes i engraved my own texture, even the kits parts are missing it.

More progress. Road wheels and return rollers are painted, molded on tools are painted. Decals applied - not overcaoted yet so still shinny, and weathering started on the lower hull and tracks.

Hello John,

this is a very nice StuG and I like it a lot.
Looking at the wirecutter it looks you went for wooden handles. AFAIK the handles were normally made of Bakelit which had a dark purple/red color to it....
the only wooden handles I saw were reproductions in the museum but maybe I'm wrong

?!?
