Tristar Panzer 38(t) Ausf. G

hiho,

here's my latest modelling crime - a Panzer 38(t) Ausf. G Panzerregiment 25, 7th Panzerdivision:

before anybody asks - yes, a sowjet ambushing from behind the machine will maybe follow!

Imo it's very nice, but everything is arranged much too balanced except the turret.

Nice job, Laura. I like the building and the "destruction" all around.

May be to many straigh lines in the compositions, but....it still works

Regards

Darío

thanks for the kind words!

the composition - well, there was nothing i could do about it as this is a complete custom dioramics diobase and when i unpacked it the base itself was that badly warped that it was unusable. to straighten it i had to screw it to a piece of wood and still it is shrinked on all corners!

to put this panzer on a base was a last-minute-decision to show the articulating suspension so i just painted the base quickly to get this build off the bench!

I see, Laura. I believe you construct the building and terrain.
Anyway, the articulated suspension work!

Shrinkage

Too bad that the base created you unforeseen problems, but I like the final outcome, however I do agree on the composition comments, adding a few angles to your layout will draw the viewer into the scene.

Keep up your work, Now what's next on your list?

it's big, it's bad and it's german!

and it swims!

so i won't do a vbench thread for her, sorry!

but as i am right in the middle some pics:

it's a training object in 1/700 for my big one in 1/350 which i want to bring together with a panzer 1 in a norwegian fjord in forced perspective!

Really?

Wow, I can't wait to see this one, I once did a RAF Mosquito in 1/48 scale flying over a german column in North Africa in 1/75 scale... did I mention that it was built when I was only 17, (no internet, reference material only what came in the model box.) I didn't even have any idea if this ever happened! (I can here the historians restless.) But, you have to build the model with only one (1) viewing position or else it doesn't work. The forced perspective that is.
keep us posted

yep - really, carlos!

don't worry, i have this dio very well planned and i leave the spectator only one point close to the panzer 1 high up in the fjord to look at with the big, bad and german vessel way down in the fjord ... maybe a quarter- or braillescale vehicle on the road half the way between the bb and the panzer/viewing point!

btw: your builds and your comp drawings rock like hell!
