Hello!

Since my Stug project is over I cracked open another box.

I have an Eduard PE set for it, but the kit is good enough to start with so will see how much will get used.

I will build it to depict the vehicle in the picture:

(Any additional info about the picture would be great.)

It is quite an interesting vehicle in that it has the turret S-mine brackets cut off and removed Feifel filters. I can't really make out if the spare track holders are present, but as much as I can make out, I believe they appear to be cut off as well???

I think the pictures will explain best what I have done to improve the kit and to make it more similar to the vehicle in the picture. I have to tear off the Feifels because they appear to be missing in the photo as well. (?)

Siim,

the holder for spare tracks are present on the turret, you can see the top bracket next to the loader's hatch. It's a bit harder than usual as there are no track links fitted.

That Tiger is a Kursk veteran and was built in April or May of '43. Some of the spare track holders have been ripped off the turret, probably by enemy fire. The smoke launchers (they are not S-mines) have been removed by official order.

Will you show it in a similar evironment as in the photo ?

Why not exactly as the photo with the other Tiger behind, in 1/48 scale though. Could be built as a Shadow box ?

Marc, yes I have had the site open the whole time I have been building the kit.

David, thank you very much, this info is most helpful. Could you maybe say what camo color is over the yellow then- green or brown?

Mattias, I think I will at first limit myself to adding the figures, but a small base is not out of the question. I haven't got room for anything more sizable.
