Since I was feeling like building something and didn't want to go really deep into AM land I started work on the Tamiya 1:35 Jagdpanther. It is the ''late'' kit. The build has been quite fast so all together I may have spent like 10hrs on the build.?.?.? I am not 100% certain if I am going to use the Friul tracks on this one. I assembled them anyway and well if I am not going to use them now, then I will have a set assembled, ready for future use. As a side note the tracks are a bit disappointing. The pin ends that are supposed to be on one side are not there on 40% of the track links. It is not an issue of being handed etc, they are just not formed!
My big plunder was to use gel type glue and that really didn't work out so I carefully burned the glue on the pins above a candle and used liquid type the other time around.So...will see how they turn out under some paint and mud.
I have added some texture to the bigger armor plates and some welds as well. As you can see, some parts are not yet attached, that is because I am not that sure about the configuration I will use. I got carried away and glued the tool racks on the hull sides, but I am beginning to realize that the late ones had them moved back. I will get to the fine adjustments when I get possession of some reference material in the near future.
As for the camo, I am not sure yet, but I think I might go with the box-art type of overall green with soft edge brown and yellow airbrushed onto that.
I will get some clearer objectives in the near future.
Nice quick build The tracks look a tad too taut. Maybe add just one link on either side. And you are going to add the mesh for the engine deck vents, right?

Basically, it's hotter than a snake's ass in a wagon rut.

Ok, I will actually change the track runs with each other. It seems the other side is overly loose. The end pins are F***** anyway so it will not matter.
Mesh...what mesh! Did German tanks even have those?

Have you decided on a sheme yet?
Nothing certain yet, but in general terms something where the dominant color is green.
