As promised, some progress shots.

First of all I been working on imitating the cast texture of the turret, which could be very rough like in this pic

Furthermore I wanted to create some weld seams on the turret roof. First I used lead wire, which works out fine on the outer rim of the turret, but not on flat surfaces.

Instead I used the good old method of streched sprue. Now it needs to dry up as I'm going to sand them down a bit before adding some texture to them.

I used lead wire for the weld seams on the hull as well, but it turned out horrendous . I did it over several times (and lost some detail I see now..... .....) but the lead wire method just doesn't apply on flat surfaces. I think I'm gonna leave it as it is though and we'll see.

The weld seams on the front armor plate looks ok though.

The tracks and wheels are sanded and ready, so only minor stuff to do before painting can begin.

All comments are welcome.

Hey Erik...those welds look pretty ok from here....It's always hard to keep stuff like this in perspective while you are in the middle of it. Once she's built, painted, and weathered it's going to look killer.

Erik, have you ever tried plastic rod for the weld seams? It comes in different diameters (0.3mm to 2.5mm) and it sure beats stretching sprue.
