Ford Marmon-Harrington Half-track 1937

Well...After having disappeared for some times, I am back, with some "little-common" works ...

You already saw US Navy Ambulance and Churchill Gun Carrier...now, this is really rare:

Ford Marmon-Harrington Half-track 1937, the grand-ma of the M2/M3 Halftrack...

Again, everything began with a real picture...

...and researching, I found other more...

Well, this was enough so that the worms in my belly if they shook...
Recipe of the cake:
Take an old Tamiya M3, scrapped...

plus some parts of the resin kit from Commando5 Ford V8 1937 Commercial:

Increase kilos and kilos of research and scratch:

and...scratch plus scratch...

This is a really Frankestein...but historical...
I choose build this half-track like test-bed of the late suspension of the M2/M3...

but, in progress:

Primmed:

So pretty:

Belly parts:

First coat of painting:

Details:

and after weathering and use....(this is a test vehicle...don´t forget...)

In resume, a real and unique rare kit for my collection...

I´m crazy or not ???
I find so boring these modern kits, 3 in 1, PE, etc.. with millions of pieces, everything right and already, is only to fit....

What do you think???

ehehehehehe

regards, from Brazil, again...

Marcos

Another super build It's always a pleasure to watch your builds of the less common subjects. Keep up the good work
