Tiger 1 '213 of 503 - Normandy 1944

HI all, and a happy new year.

I thought I should start a new vBench, what with the new year and all.

So, this first post will be a bit of a fast forward, as ive done a fair bit on this already.

Started off with the excellent DML Tiger 1 late, and a bunch of aftermarket stuff, Friul tracks, Atak Zimm, the VP disassembled Maybach engine and CMK's new Tiger 1 drivers' compartment.

Here's some shots of the vehicle im going to depict:

And here's some shots of the work in progress....

I added an Evergreen styrene engine compartment around the VP engine and the kit supplied fans and radiators

VP's disassembled engine is perfect for this project, it can be partially built, perfect to show a knocked out engine

CMK's drivers and operators compartment.. this isnt bad, its meant for the Tamiya kit, and the trans is commically small, but it will look great thru the hatches

Engine compartment together (test fit)

Some exterior shots

and with some paint

So, there ya go.

More updates will follow, eventually!

Sa,

Nice going Sam!!! Another Tiger 1 late smasher!
What happend to this tiger? Why did it get stuck at the ditch? Was it pushed aside? Want to see more of this brilliant work!
Best regards
Ebbe

Boy oh boy, does that look beefy. Makes me feel like a pip squeak f-ing around with my Panzer IA model .
I have the New Verlinden release (#2300) for the Late Tiger I. When I get a chance I'll have to take a look and see how some of the parts look in comparision to that CMK deal.
