Hi,

Another project of mine. (I have way too many in progress. )
This time it's the Trumpeter KV-1. Mainly started it as a mind clearing and experimenting model. Although I have to admit it has stalled a bit at the moment.

On this ones turret I went a bit wild with the cast texture but it was fun and I am
really pleased with the result.

I also tried to do welds on the roof. They took a lot of effort and to me they qualify as OK.

And the tracks and wheels are in this state at the moment.

All comments welcome.

Cheers

Siim

Siim looks very nice! How did you do the casting texture on turret?

Cheers Mikko

Man, you're not alone on having too many Don't worry about it, but do try to finish, that would be better...getting stalled is...well, I don't know how to describe it as it's different for everybody...just relax or try and find some inspiration...there's a lot to be found on this site and others...

Looks great so far!

Looks good Siim i like the cast texture on the turret alot the welds look good also on the sides of the turret the welds on the top are a little heavy but i don't think it's nothing to worry about as far as everything else , i can't wait to see it finished thanks for sharing

Siim,
great job on the turret texture! Really bubbly and ruff like the Russian stuff was.
Not overdone at all.

Siim,

I'm agree with Ian. Nice texture job on the turret.

Very nice lightweight turret there, Siim
As I don't have the kit [yet] I'm anxious to hear what improvements you made on the turret exactly; you mention weldlines, which look very convincing, but did you alter the cast armour texture completely and if so, what techniques did you use? The result is a extremely realistic looking turret
