Peiper's halftrack

Hey guys,
looking through Platz der Leibstandarte there are several pics of Jochen Peiper in a halftrack. From the photos, we can tell that it is a 251/9 Ausf C. Now I have a few questions about this. Woud this have been a standard /9, or, as Peiper is using it as his command vehicle would it have been fitted with any special radio gear? From the photos of the vehicle and close ups of Peiper in it, it would appear not, but I'm not sure. In addition, does anyone do a /9 Ausf C? I think the only kits are Ds, maybe Dragon or AFV could release one in the future?
