I thought I would share yet another project I have started.....

Nice little kit so far, although some seem to be having problems with the kit:



I will start on the tracks tonight to see if I encounter anything unusual. This vehicle will be finished as one serving in the Middle East and will be chipped as hell similiar to my BRDM.

A little work done on this kit in the past few days.....very little that is.

Gouged up the roadwheels quite a bit as this vehicle is going to represent something that has been rode hard and put away wet.

These shots will also show what I found to be the biggest quirk of the kit thus far. The fiddly roadwheel arms. The method used to secure them is very fragile and was difficult to align properly as you can see in the picture below. However, with just a slight little tweak you can move the arms to a better position!

This next picture identifies what could be a problem area when assembling the tracks. I like to keep the roadwheels loose, glue the tracks together and then be able to remove them. The lip on the front fender is going to interfere with that process. I might remove it and replace afterwords with stock styrene.



In the end I want my tracks to resemble what I did on my KV-2:



Maybe some more progress tonight, but not likely. I have sold my house and have 24 days to pack and be out!! It'll take me that long just to get my model stuff boxed up.

looks interesting even thou I'm not a fan of modern stuff. Too bad that Trumpeter seem to have some kind of pitfall with almost every model. Now with those RW arms.

Some progress made in the past two days now that I have finished moving the majority of my hobby room.

Also, Tim Roberts was nice enough to show me a sweet little link to this vehicle. Now I can see all the details that are missing!!

Now some shots of the missiles. I have decided to model the vehicle after firing it's first missile, so I only constructed two. The halves fit together well, but the stablizing fins or whatever they are proved to be a bit fiddly.

Basic construction is done, but I need to add Mr. Surfacer in many nooks and crannies to fill in some small gaps.

I'm about 95% sure it's gonna end up being an Iraqi vehicle. It has seen service in Syria and Egypt as well.

I've got an old Warriors tank berm base that I think I am going to stick it on to add some atmosphere.
