1/35 Sd. Kfz. 164 Nashorn

The first AFV in 2009, and could be the only AFV in this year too.

The model kit is Dragon 6166, added the PE from VM 35235 (basic) and 35173 (fender). The barrel and tracks were not decided yet.

The assembly of fighting compartment is about done. Next step will be the exterior.

Nice...

If the rest of it turns out as good as those ammo lockers, you will have a real winner. They really look amazing.

Cheers,
John

Great job on one of my favorite vehicles. Super neat work on the PE and especially the ammo locker. But I've a question on that.

This is my "Hornisse" with Lion Roar's PE built some years ago. The back wall of the ammo locker is shaped differently, it has a "bulge", whilst the Voyager set, as seen in the pics from louisuni, goes straight down. If I were at home I could have a look in my Nuts & Bolts magazine on the Sd. Kfz. 164, but as I'm not home atm, I ask you guys.

No matter what, it's an awesome job so far. Regarding the barrel, I highly recommend ABER #35L-41.

Cheers,
Johannes

Both these look good guys.
Louis, did all the small bolt heads come with the Voyager set? All the small details are adding up to a gem .

Life's so very funny, you just need to remember to laugh [note to the clowns].

Why would the clowns not let people into the tent? What's the point of the show if they don't? .
