I haven't done any scale modeling since I was a teenager. I think the last thing I did was an F-15 in the 80s. I recently decided I'd kinda like to get back into it. I was really looking for a
Bismarck, but I wanted something to start practicing on. They had a real sad collection, so I picked up Revell's 1/72 Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.H. Ugh! I'm never doing 1/72 armor again. It looks better than anything I ever did as a kid, but still.
So I went to another store (when did all the hobby stores go away?). I was looking for another Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.H, but the store was closing, so I panicked and grabbed the DML Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.F2(G).
Looked interesting enough, so I started building a little, then decided to take a look around the net. Found this place and the following threads.

One thing that I discovered in looking at all the photos of the F2 is that DML has the wrong drive sprocket. They have the correct one in the kit, but the ones that are shown to use in the instructions are the ones for the F1. I discover this the day
after I've glued them. Eventually I cut the spokes off and glued the correct ones on.
I'm interested in creating a diorama, as there are several tank kits from the 204th reg. of the 22nd Pz. Div. One of the options for this tank is a tank for which there is a picture of it headed towards Rostov, and I thought it would be neat to have a city scape of a pair of Nazi tanks against a Soviet KV-1. I was thinking a Pz.Kpfw. 38T, because I could model it popped, since those kits all seem to have internals.
I've assembled a lot of the parts of the tank already, but I haven't glued the assembled sections to each other. Pictures to come.
Thoughts appreciated.
