Sd.kfz. 11 from AFV Club

Switch style, too many nicely built Panzer IVs from Tristar here so I will make something different, a nice little halftrack from AFV Club....

Here are my references

There are not too many references on the Sd.kfz.11 but I found a few....there is a new Nuts and Bolts coming out on this vehicle in February but I cannot wait, never been a patient man!

First, the Militaria book, quite good to be honest, lots of colour plates and pics of this vehicle and its variants in different theatres...

Then the Ground Power, whenever I start a new vehicle I always round up the Ground Powers relevant to it, they have great pictures and scale plans....

Lastly an Allied Axis with some good shots although not too many

Aftermarket bits.....

Of course there are aftermarket bits!

From Mig Productions, I will use the wheels and the driver compartment tarp, but not the tarp for the cargo area (if you want it let me know, it's yours)

Two Aber sets, the basic set with two frets and clear film (film not pictured)

and the Aber set for the hull overlay, this should look good when completed....

Hey Sheeds....

I have not chosen a particular one, although there are certainly inspiring pics from Afrika, as well as a really nice Totenkopf one from Kharkov....depends on whether I want to try winter camo....
