tankette Tristar PzKpfw 1 Ausf A ohne Aufbau

Another great kit from Tristar

After drooling over this kit the whole of yesterday, I managed to drag myself away and take some photos of the instructions. I do not have a scanner so photos will have to do.

I ordered one from Tristar direct along with the Pz IA w/interior. Don't know how long I will have to wait but I am sure it will be worth it.

Some close-up photos

This to me is the highlight of the kit. The engine block is slide molded as a single piece!

Underside

Radiator cover. There are no gaps between the vanes. I put this down to the limitation of injection molding.

The radiator. Looks exactly as what you see in a car but only smaller

Fan

Fan cover

Fuel tanks

Engine parts

The detail of the figure is very good

Thanks for the pics. This is a very nice kit from what I can tell in the pics. I am just a little curious why Tristar went from a single piece lower hull to a multi piece. My only guess is to detail the interior and floor. But is that not possible with slide molds? Great kit.

Roy,

Tristar went to a multipiece hull starting from the Flapanzer 1A.

There are bolt details on the inside that would be very difficult, if not impossible to depict with slide molding.

Here's the inside of the lower hull sides.
