Thanks Rick- I thought you might -it being a tank and all.
And yes please keep us posted about any thing that you are able to share , without getting in trouble!

A few more pics
The back end, I guess this was a tanks meant to carry troops, thus the big back hatch ala the Bradley,
This tank was to be airborne as well, (in real life, before the program was cancelled.)

The upper hull with some venting bits,

Some of the armour plate parts for the lower suspension area, again wood that has been painted, yet to be aged.

Doing some washes on the suspension arm parts

Another shot of the turret with the barrel installed for fitting.

Ok...I'll see your tank and raise you one Atlas V rocket!!

This Atlas V was a project that we did this past year for a museum in New York. Total height of this thing is 35'. Here are a couple of photos of it being loaded into the truck and then it's final place in the museum.

The rocket has LED panels in the boosters and a crankin' sound system (lots of bass) so folks can press a button at the exhibit, get the countdown 10..9..8....and then hear and feel the lift off and glow from the burners.

Later,
Rick

Stop it you two!!!
Next you'll be showing photo's of a 1/1 scale A380 Airbus!
Well I no longer feel inadiquite looking at you and Jame's work when I see what you two can realy do. Tanks, rockets 'n space rovers!
If you both get to Australia, I'd like a 1/10 Bismarck. You get 1 day a week off and free food, LOL.

Why would the clowns not let people into the tent? What's the point of the show if they don't? .

I don't have a Bismark handy, but how about this 1/100 scale Virginia Class submarine. I really had nothing much to do with this one - I did a little painting - one of the others in the shop did this wonderful work.

However, next week we begin working on a 10' aircraft carrier - that should be fun.

Very cool stuff Rick, but I'll see your Atlas and raise it with an abandoned alien spaceship.

Actually I haven't worked on it since the initial build- last April I went onto a feature after this- Percy Jackson and then the A-Team. Right now I'm working on a TV show initial build- it's called Hellcats-about some cheerleaders! Ra RA!
Lots of faux oak wood graining on this one!

Sometimes the rad is a bit rocky, and the work is off and on but yes I don't think I'd rather do anything else-I get to do some pretty cool things and go to some real different locations.

Now a few more pics of the tank
the drive wheels
