i need to take another picture of right fender
soldering is much better
Soldering iron is hot enough, I just needed more practice

if you cant get along with a soldering iron why not try araldite or s/glue

well, I've decided that I am not happy with my fenders. I soldered them after being bent, and may have contributed in difficulty for me (as a newbie to soldering).
I'll order another set of fenders. Will solder them first, then bend after.

Other thought is that I realised that my solder wire is 0.8 mm and there is 0.6mm available at Radio Shack.
I am using rosin core solder as well as flux. Any thoughts??

Well many props for trying out soldering, you're a braver man than I!! I didn't think it looked too bad, but its like they say practice makes...

One thing maybe making the soldering difficuult is the size of the fenders...make sure the area where you solder is heated well and just let the solder flow etc.

Once you heat it enough use the iron to smooth out the solder....and don't apply too much solder at first.

Just some tips along the journey.
