Great work Lawrence!

The tool Brackets look excellent. I am thinking of getting them for my Panzer IV. What do you think?

Dave
Dave, the new Aber sets are superb and much easier to work with. Get them for your IV D as they will really add to the fantastic work you've done.

I have some leftover PE parts like the smoke candle rack that you can have.

Dave

Which set did you order? The Aber PzIVD set for Tristar kit or the old Aber PzIVD set for the Tamiya kit?

After 5 months, I am now 99.1% complete with the construction and to all intents and purposes, this tank is ready for the paintjob. I have only the antenna and towing pintles to add.

Tracks are MK SK-57 with the taller guide horns. This tauchpanzer will be painted as "632" of the 18th Panzer Division in Russia, 1941

The brake access hatch latches are accurately represented in the kit and according to my photos, they are offset slightly towards the fenders.

One of the distinguishing features of the tauchpanzer is the cylindrical valve at the rear of the air intake

Tristar even included the vent cover with correct number of bolts.

The seam around the gun is meant to be there as the covering is made from rubber.

The antenna deflector is offset to the left

The Tristar turret is very nice and I only needed to add one solitary missing bolt at the rear of the turret. The rubber inflatable seal is accurately depicted.

I have no idea what the pole behind the cupola is for but it's in the reference photos of "632"

Air intake covers that will be added only after paint

All comments welcomed.

Lawrence

Lawerence, very nice!

Would you happen to have a reference photo of 632 that you could post?

Can't wait for the paint.
