The towing eyes are now in place on the hull tub.

A little work on the rear armor plate. The brackets provided in the kit for the auxiliary fuel tank are too small. The mount point for the quick release is also located too low, it should line up with the indentation on the top of the hull.

Work on the suspension mounts. This is how they are supplied:

On the real vehicle an extra armor plate was welded under the rear turret to counter a potential shot trap. It is absent in the kit. A quick and easy fix. I've cut a rectangle 7.6 by 2.05 cm and glued it in place.

The hull tub is done (minus some welds). You can see the mount points for the engine and generator on the inside of the hull.

The driver's and radio operator's compartment is dry fit. As you can see it wasn't roomy at all.

The track problem is solved. One of the major flaws of the Maus kit was that of its tracks.Something that will add weight to my build are the Spade Ace tracks that have just arrived. They are great!
