Shame all that detail will be sealed up. Anyway to have an open panel somewhere to shed some light?

I feel something wrong in this painting. maybe the gun carrier is too rusty?
Does the door have rubber sealing? Is it black?

Hopes for comments and replys.

Solo,
It looks good. The seats should be black--they were a standardized part on almost all German AFVs and all had black leather seats.

There might be a little too much rust for a painted part, remember that 234s were only in service a short time. I've seen pics of gun mounts in 251/22s that are in red primer, but those were conversions of standard 251s, so I don't know if that would be correct for a 234/4.

Regards,
Curtis

Hi Solo,
I think less rust (agree with Curtis) and much more dirt on the floor would be more realistic - but it is my personal taste regarding the dirt
cheers,
Zsolt

Hi curtis,Thx for comments

1. The seats is black, I take the photo too careless to make it looks not like black.
2. After paint the Gun mount,I am also feel it is too rusty. I saw Mattias's beautiful 251/22, but I feel if I paint the Gun mount in hull red , it will feel too strong contrast with light yellow.
At first , I just want make the Gun mount different with the hull interior and not to look as too contrast. But obviously I make it over rusty.

thanks again for your comments.

Hi, Flak & Zsolt, Thx for reply, I just add some dirt & oil on the floor & transmission. and I filter some green on the Gun mount ,hope to reduce it's rusty appearance.

Maybe I can update some more clear and accurate photos tomorrow.

Hi

I would consider painting the entire interiour primer red. If you have access to color photos of the 234/4 at the Patton Museum you will of course see that the interiour is painted by the museum in a greyish color, but where ever the color is peeling off, you only see red primer underneath. As far as I know this red primer was used all over at the stage of the war when the 234/4 entered service. However, I dont think anybody can prove that you are wrong with what you have done so far - except for the rust. As mentioned in another post the 234/4 was a very late war vehicle and wouldnt only be in service for about 4-5 months at the most (if not being knocked out)
Beside this, I think you did a great job with the P E. Your model looks very good.

Torben

Cool Paint Fix

Hello solorow

very nice detailing you got there, and about the colors, I think that the comments before mentioned are good suggestions...

And your response...

... Sounds solid
Now all you'll have to do is post those pics and prove your point!

I'm waiting to see the results

Update photos

Hi Torben, Thanks for your comments, even it's bad news for me. And as two of my friends told me, I should paint 234/4 entire interior primer red. and the same red was used as brown at three-color camouflage, right?

Now I want to fix it by repaint it use hull red, maybe leave the transmission and chair's color as before.

Hi Lost legionar. THX for reply.

Sorry for update so later, there's some photos I took today. and this weekend I will repaint it and update photos next week.
