250/1 Halftrack - Last day

I gave a little break for my other project and had started a new diorama which is a common project in a Turkish Modeling Forum.

The topic is related to a picture which is taken on the last day of war. Its an 250/1 halftrack got hit while trying to escape. The commander has escaped but the nurse behind and the driver had died.

Halftrack : Dragon 250/1 Neu

Figures : First sculpting experience.

Pictures:

I ve ordered, but still waiting. I thought i can start sculpting figures but i do not know where to start. Planetfigure.com is very helpfull for beginners. Thanks for sculpters.. Many many....

First attempt is for the nurse at the back door.

Tha man is smiling. It should be a woman with closed eyes.

Hairs

Eyes closed.

First touch on body

Second touch

I guess i will make several touches. Still horrible.

Head nearly finished. Need to be smooth.

Anyway. Comments welcome.

This is a very hard one no? I think the head looks well so far. The should serve as a great start for the rest of the figure.

While I don't always like seeing death portrayed in dioramas I do think that you've done a good job with this poor chap. I'm looking forward to you're next update.

Why would the clowns not let people into the tent? What's the point of the show if they don't? .

At least the halftrack came. I cut the figure from stomach line and re-position a little bit. Still have lots to do. Shoulder - head , hands, foot, position still wrong.
Second picture is first try. Just to see if its at real scale. Its more important for now.

Hi,

The first thing that comes to my mind whilst looking at your figure work is that you need to study anatomy of man more. It will come handy to watch how body acts in different poses etc. Take a careful look at the picture of the KIA and spot the main features of his pose. It should come useful to practice with a mannequin first.

Cheers

Radek
