DML Tiger 1 E Late WIP

I started this build before I moved flats, and regained interest in it today. So far the lower hull suspension is fitted, and the stowage bin from Part's 35-133 set is built. This has received a quick primer spray, to highlight any excess CA. My technique with CA is to use a medium viscosity and flood the PE. About 20 seconds later I start to scrape it away and it can leave a nice spot weld effect behind. anyway, here's the pictures. Think I will start on the turret zimm tomorrow.

My aim is to show a tiger of 2. s. SS. Pz. Abt. 102, maybe 231 if I can get some more references, prior to their drive to the front. I'm thinking of the preparation with branches being cut for camouflage. The shots are slightly out of focus, but I had to make do with my Sony cam, as the Nikon needs a new USB lead/card reader. Whichever is cheaper.

MfG

Martin

Interesting build. I think there is way to little amount of 102 Tigers out there. Sam did a very nice 102 Tiger and it got more funky camouflage than the 101 Tigers had and I guess 103 Tigers where rather dull allso. Did you sand down the stowagebin be simulate the damage better?

Ebbe, I drilled through the PE bin to show the small caliber damage. The bin might get some more abuse later on in the build.

Made a start on the turret zimm. Two lower parts will need touching up once the track hangers and side hatch have been installed, and maybe a touch more damage will be added. When the Milliput is rock hard, I will smooth off some of the ridges.

Martin

PS: Better fotos tomorrow

Martin, the zimm is looking great! Did you roll a sheet of milliput or press lumps down flat? I hope that makes sence .
Ed.
