You can lighten up with the earthtone pigments. Start gettin' some pin-washes and pick out the small details. Dry brushing and such. Emphasize the cool looking cammo.

Take your time. This is the 'fun' part. Have fun my brother.

some more progress
first i sprinkled some paint spots with finger from brush, then dry brushed zimmerit and areas that were walked on
next was light color chipping with hard brush and then detailed with thin brush, painted zimmerit damage
after that i was time for dark chipping and scratches.. all made with knife
on some big chipps pencil was used to get some shinning effect
some areas are scratched a bit too much but that will get fixed with pastel and all that

hope you like it

Ski I never tell anyone how their armor should look. I found out real fast that
since the crews set up their ride to suit their needs and applied most of the camo in the field you can never say what is wrong or right unless you are building a specific example of a particular tank with photo evidence.

You can look at my models and see how I prefer them. It's your model so build it to suit you and be happy with it. That's the best advice I can offer.

That's what I would do as well. The wash would bring out the texture of the zimm more but don't get carried away and get it too dark.

tracks fitted, zimm washed a bit... lost of earth on tiger as if some bad ass fighting was going on and allies walking on it inspired by bocage and italy photos..

lower part a bit too clean so i'm working on that, just not sure about metal effect on tracks.. should i cover it a bit with dust?
what do you guys think...
