I was going to start back on the Famo but whilst re-arranging kit box's in the room I come across these, started a couple of years ago and they had been 80% completed.
Nothing worse than half finished models is there :-X :| :|

Hi,

Had to do some more work to rectify the piping on the figures.
Here are some close up images of the work, will scrutinise further to ensure no shiny spots around the collars.

Wow,

The figure painting here is truly impressive. Even if it isn't the sharpest and detailed, I've ever seen, it really makes a natural feel to look at them. And the skin tone and lightness is spot on.

I like the weathering as well. Hundred variations of mud, rust and faded colour on a single vehicle.

Exactly

You are right ... the figures capture the mood and are very well done, now lets see the whole thing put together. Take your time, we are watching!

Thanks Guys

I've just re-commenced back working on the trailer.
Here is a couple of images of work so far.

Still working on detailing the chains and tie downs for the tank. Hence it will not be long before I mount to the board.
Got side tracked on a small quick build on an Academy Stuart.
Released back in 2002 I cracked the box and did not realize the kit come with interior detail, individual track and rubber band track.
This kit falls well below the price of the new Tamiya offering and gives you a lot more. With a little detailing of the 30 cals and antenna mount it builds into a nice kit.

Tractor and trailer glued to the Board with white PVA glue and super glue.

Minor external parts to place around the tractor and trailer and the 5 year build is over

Here are the some more images of work to bring me closer to the finish line.

You can never have enough reference on the subject. I had to rummage through the reference books to try and locate the black and white image to show what has been done.

The spring retention is not too exact but it's close enough to give the viewer the idea. Not sure if it springs down or up.

The nuts and bolts book Vol 12 Schwerer Zugkraftwagon does not cover this as they photographed a restored vehicle and the rear doors are missing.
The Tamiya Famo has the molded brackets on the bottom of the doors and to this date I have not seen it replicated in 35th scale.

Hello,

Here are the final images of the Tamiya Famo and trailer with the Dragon Panzer 3.

I have copyrighted the images as from previous builds posted on the internet I have found them on international web sites. That and some people want to claim they built the model

Thanks Abdin,

Checking with the post office this week to see if the goodies have come in.

Rest assured the boat will be commenced in the early part of 2019.

It's a busy year with the HK B17 Memphis Belle , Schnellboote and Large King tiger diorama to build. The work will shared across all 3 areas.

Have commenced the year with a quick build of an Australian M1A1 Abrams

Nothing fancy, will have 2 crew figures in the turret and a base with groundwork.
