I really don't know how the following fits in, but here goes.

Dave Connolly, master modeller, Jacques Littlefield docent, and friend to many, died on August 3rd at approximately 7:30 p.m. at his home in Winters, California. Dave, who was so generous to many, was despondent about trying to find a job, his illnesses, and the breakup of a relationship; and so he ended up shooting himself.

Because Dave had no living relatives no one has claimed the body, the remains will be cremated by the county and buried in a potter's field.

There will be a wake on August 20th, where and when has not been decided yet.

Yes, I have read about this at ML. But still, even if I didn't know him, it is still sad to hear someone's (especially a modeller's) life end like that.

My condolence to everyone who knew him and thought of him as a friend.

That is more info than I had heard before. Dave was a good guy and a friend. I hope that he has found the peace and happiness he was looking for so badly. I believe there was more to his life than most of us knew it's a shame it was so sad. God speed Dave and rest in peace. Regards Brock Hopkins III
