Shep Paine book available

Some of the younger modellers may not know of this guy's work but he was quite instrumental in elevating this hobby away from a toy thing to more a pastime that tried to portray a more realistic and yet fun interpretation of history in miniature.

I remember looking at the Shep booklets that came inside the 1/32 Monogram kits, and I still have my 70's era How to Build Dioramas book.

Those were good days.

his two "how to ..." were and still are very important for me. I take it that even if today's technique is different you can't do better than this guys as far as dioramas are concerned !
Remember his "HMS Victory" diorama with the gunners and the smoke ...
