Verlinden 120mm Question

First time poster here. I frequent planet figure and LSP, thus the reason for my post. I have a few Verlinden armor kits that I am considering selling. My stash is getting out of hand and I need to pare it down. I have the Tiger, Panther and the Sturmgeschutz all in 120mm. I have checked e-bay and the prices are all over the place. I would like to get an idea of what the true market value is for these kits. TIA

Hi There,

At one time all I did was 15/16 scale, even at that I was always looking for the best deal possible, I would never pay over 200 us for any velinden models because of the amount of work I new that I would have to put into them, and if I wanted to unload any of them I wanted it to be as painless as possible, currently if you paid msrp on any of your verlinden kits, I'm afraid your out of luck, sometimes they sell high sometimes not!

The Tiger

I'm interested in the Tiger if it is still available.

Thanks
Scott

Well Scott, the Tamiya(static) and the Verlinden Tiger are no longer in production, nor are they readily available, occasionally one pops up in the on line store for in excess of $400, my suggestion would be to watch ebay with a saved search what emails you whenever a new listing comes up with the Tiger in it. Example is 1/16 or Tamiya TigerI 1/16. I would not suggest the Verlinden offering as it requires a lot of work and is old enough now to be considered "rare" and the price can be stupefying, the Tamiya model is a good representation and can be had to the keen observer for less than $200 out of Asia hope this helps and good luck!

dsleigh thanks for the reply and help. I have been building this scale for awhile and have almost all of Verlinden items except the jeep and Tiger. I have the Bandai Tiger for the early version. I want the Verlinden due to it being the later version and is 15th scale. Unfortunately I lost a bid for one on e-bay that sold for $250. There is a store on eBay now selling one for $399 and also one with zimmerite update for $799, like you no way Iím going to spend that much. Might buy another Bandai and convert it to late model.

It is available along with a STuG. All three kits are MIB.
