Thanks Armour Fiend

The fruil track does not display the bolt head on the outside of the track where as the plastic track does .

You can see in the image below where the plastic track has the bolt head and the Fruil track does not .Although he outside of the fruil track is fantastic in detail it does not contain the bolt head.
I know it is being nit picky .Most of the previous models completed in the last five years or so have all been made with Fruil track and most of the tracks designed by Fruil have bolt detail on the outside .Ie: left and right tracks .

I like the fruils and still may go back to them .It means I have to rethink how I build the track and get them on with the bolts displayed.

More to follow with this , and more weathering to do .

Hello again,

Back with the next installment.
I persisted with the Famo Fruil and now it's on and in position .
It's not coming off

Bare

Primed in Humbrol Primer

Painted with gunze colours with Ammo Mig pigments

left side

right side

three quarter rear

The size of the Famo is quite intimidating once the superstructure goes on.
Realising this is i big kit

With the lower hull out of the way I moved onto test fitting the hornet heads with the crew and started using the Vallejo paints for the first time on the crew .Was going to use Andrea colours then done a bog switch because I think Vallejo have more to offer.

The guys with the long sleeves will have the plastic hands cut off replaced with resin hands .This image shows the sleeve dremelled ready for the resin hand .

Ok Back again ,

Moved a little closer with the crew .
A little seem cleaning was required on all the figures .
up close the seem lines look quite chunky .

The heads and hands have been dremelled out for the resin pieces.

All the heads will be drilled out and a toothpick inserted so I can work on the head by itself , spend the time and detail it .
Humbrol flesh will be airbrushed over all the skin areas .

Have been out of touch on the figure painting side so more to follow on this front .

Till next time , please fell free with suggestions, short cuts or help that I may be overlooking

Ok Back again,

First time using acrylics on 1/35th figures .
here is the early start on trying to get the right look .

I'll gloss coat each figure once the paint work is acceptable .
Then wash each figure and flat clear .

Base coated the faces and arms with Humbrol flesh .
Good body base coat to work with oil paint colours .

Way more work to do to get them done .more to follow .

Helllo again,

Slow progress ,
Figures gloss coated in Testers Gloss coat and a black pinwash placed around the figures clothing .

Done 1 figure head ,painted in oils

More work to do on the clothing of each figure.

Hello again,

Been awhile painting the figures and have not achieving the results I hoped for.
They have been way below expected standards .
Got to this point and something was not there .So in the end I spent a number of hours stripping them back to start again.
This is the time where I say I need an optivisor for this work .

Back to the basics

Hello ,

Back again with some more work done on the rear famo tray to dress it up.
There will be smaller accessories placed around the main load to break it up and I'll include a figure to keep the rear compartment alive.

Greetings till next time

Michael
