Just checking in to let you know that the three online shops I get my supplies from have been out of stock in the colors of paint and MIG products I need for months. I placed an order from a new site almost two weeks ago and no word yet that it has even shipped yet so the 17cm Tiger just sits in the paint booth.

I've been working on my next two projects in the mean time. The new DML Elepant w/zimm and the new DML Hummel. The Hummel is really a hummdinger
of a model:

Thanks for looking in on me

great build

This kit is on my must-have list... it's incredible.
One question: is that a Gunze mini-spray booth on your desk? If it is, how it's working? Is it's a worthy investment?

Thanks

Yeah Spongy that's where it came from. If I could have seen this booth in the flesh before hand I would have passed on it.

The squirrel cage fan is pretty quiet and does move a lot of air but the rest of this thing is made of flimsy vacuum formed plastic and without that cardboard grill on the front would collapse under its own weight.

I have limited space and this fits so I paid the price and kept it. Speaking of price $50.00usd would be plenty to pay for this unit.

Just my opinion

Guys i'm anxious to see paint on it myself. I've never painted something this big and to get the weathering to look good has me a little worried.Everybody says I worry to much, yeah right, that's easy for them to say.

Later

You should see my booth... (I made it out of some bathroom fan and a laundry-box...)

When you use it, how much of the paint (and smell) actually gets outside? I'm curious how effective it is removing paint particles and solvent. I'm going to move soon to a dormitory (grad school in England), and I hope I'd be able to continue building. Painting is another matter, so I'm looking for a space-saving alternative to a bulky box.

Well after three weeks the paint finally arrived but the Hummel is well on its way and i'm going to get it to the point of painting and do them both at the same time.
If you see something that needs correcting or any suggestions that would make it better please let me know.

Don't worry about the gaps it's just a loose fit for the photos.
Thanks for looking

Did the barrel come with the kit, or is it AM?

Looks very nice. What scheme do you have in mind for it?

Maybe that'll be my next project. For some reason I have two Hummels, I should have a go at one of them.

Anyone know if Dragon are going to release a Wespe in the near future?
