nevermind, sometimes that's how you discover a new way of doing something, it's a difficult look to achieve and you did it by accident

I would drill out your MG though

thanks for suggestions

the Kv1 is a nice model

the steps fopr the way i painted are just that i used salt and painted over it with semithick enaml paint and it bubble somehow then i just ran over the finished product with a Qtip diped in paint thinner and rubbed it on the raised bumps

with your salt tech', did you use an airbrush........how did you get the enamel too thick without clogging the airbrush, or did you use too many thick coats? So the result is due to the salt dissolving then, I thought you were meant to just brush away the salt when it's all dry???

I dunno, not something I've ever tried myself

yes i used the satl tech

and an airbrush but its not a dual stage one but i did do a few coats of semithick enamil an then i went over it with a brushand fixed the painting theni chipped off the salt and then went over it with the Qtips then i painted on the rust so

and the salt didnt dissolve

yeah its really weird but is pretty cool i am tying this method on a few other kits as well

The inscription spoils all kind. Dear Markko has noticed correctly. The inscription should be in Russian "За Родину"

There are no photos existing that show KV-2s with patriotic inscriptions.
