Basically, it's hotter than a snake's ass in a wagon rut.

Lawrence,
Thanks a lot for the reference links. No, I am not going to rework the turret. This supposed to be a quick and simple project and I already complicated it by adding Eduard PE set.

Started on the fender. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Every time I used some heat the metal would twist and throw everything out of wack. It took me a while to get it look semi OK. The next step will be to attach the fender brackets.

Here are close ups of that weld on the front plate I have mentioned before.

Balki
ps. Wife already informed me of my plans for this weekend and they do not include “modeling time”. This means that there will be no progress reports till the next week.

The fenders looks good

I have the other Eduard fenders (not rounded front fender) and it has the pattern on it. I do like the smooth fenders that you have though.

Not much to report today. Was too busy doing family things this weekend to make any progress on my T-70. All I managed to do was to sneak out of the house for a few minutes and run to our local hobby store.
Look what I got

This Friulmodel set comes with two sprocket wheels. They are a bit different then Mini Art’s sprockets.

After some research I decided to stay with the plastic sprockets and save Friul’s for later projects.

Stay tuned….

He, he, he.....
So much for easy, out of the box project
I knew that I was in trouble when I got the Eduard PE set, but now I am developing a fully blown case of modelus stuffus additionalus (is that the correct medical term?)

The FM tracks have the lightening holes on the links (the kit tracks do not).
