tankette Panther 225 at Lingévres

Okay chapps!
I have ordered the early A Panther from DML. It will arrive on monday I hope. I belive Lehr used early A:s at Lingévres. One might be seen knocked out at the memorial and the turret number might be 225. This will a thread for this subject and it will be a object built allso. I will depict it before it was knocked out. So the easyes way might be build the damn thing and use a simple base consisting of ground work and some rubble just. I will start to work on one figure. Just a comander peaking out from the hatch.
As soon the kit has arrive this thread will come to more life.

Ebbe,

I'm pretty sure that "225" was a late A although I may be wrong. I seem to recall a rear shot of it showing the later type of exhaust arrangement. There's a good website about Lingevres here http://www.glcoupar.freeserve.co.uk/...lingevres1944/

Regards,
Paul

tankette Panther 225

Hi Paul!
Well there was several tanks knocked out here. I looked at the website. The first picture that shows is two Panthers knocked out and pushed aside from the road. This is not the panthers. Inside the town I think the one standing there looks like an early A panther. I can´t see clearly enough but to me it looks like a letterbox MG cover and the binocular sight?
Regards
Ebbe

Unhappy More Panther 225 Lingévres

Hi Paul!
I´m looking currently at Brithis Pathe to try to find the photos. I have no sucess yet but I know they have pictures there. I wish Andrew Hall could step in and tell me more or show me pictures on the Panthers there. Do you got photos on the tanks at Lingévres? I know it has circulated pictures on them. I had them and lost them with the old computor.
Regards
Ebbe

Hi Ebbe,

I think I lost my pics when the old computer crashed. I'll have a look around and see if I can dig something up from books. I'm sure there are a number of shots of the rear of the Panther near the war memorial.

Paul

Kicking around waiting for the early A Panther to arrive. Now I got photo evidence that Lehr did have early A:s in Normandy and a friend Niels at M-L told me about the Lingévre Panthers so 225 would be a early A Panther. The shipment has been laten due my supplier waits for a delivery to him. But I realy hope it will arrive this week. I have prepared the Lehr scene.
