Dragon's Sdkfz 7/1

Ok, let me see if this works. I'm back after being gone for a while and want to start posting again. Yes Rick I know I still need to finish the T34. Unfortunately I don't have a good way to post pics yet but I hope to resolve that soon.

Well I'm not seeing this turn up in my vbench so if anyone can help with that please let me know. Here is my brief build up of the kit so far. Furst I have to say the kit is really amazing out of the box. So many pieces, mmm plastic! Jon and I purchases kits at the same time and of course his in already painted and collecting dust. I have taken notes along the bild process so with to share them with eveyone.

Step 1
I have seen lots of comments about the frame (W) being warpped. Mine was not, at least to any visible messure. I only ran into two issues here. The first was the mounting of C-18 to W Frame). C-18 did not sit flat against the side. Some of this might be due to the small contact area but was assisted when C-7 got glues into place.

The other issue can when mounting B-43 to B-3. These is a channel for B-43 to fit into but no lip or stop to keep it from sliding up and down. I found it best to fix B-3 to the frame as well as attaching B-52. Once these are solid then B-43 can be properly alligned. While these are only minor issues they could effect the overall site of the model.

Step 2
Everything seemed to fit fine here with no issues. I glues my muffler before fitting it so I could sand it smooth. Side note: I also sanded every single pice before I put it in the model. Once assembled I noted this time was deffinately wasted as you can not see any of the seems when done. Ohh well...

Step 3, 4, & 5
These all went together well too. Just keep in mind D-56 will attach to D-46 in step 9. The same is true for D-53 attaching to D-22 and D64 attaching to D-23. None of these had issues and lined up just fine.

You have to start the thread in the vBench forum, I've moved the thread there so now it is in the right place.
