Baptism of Fire

Hi guys,

now that the "Bow down" project cam e to a close, it's time for a new project.
This time the theme is "Stalingrad"

I choose to depict a SIG33 on the PzIII undercariage to be the main subject.

I planned it drivingthrough a factory hall in Stalingrad, 1942.
There it gets its Baptism of Fire by Ivan, who is trying to throw a molotov-cocktail on the engine deck.

Anyways, here are the pic":

These are the contents for the SIG33 on the PzIII undercariage.

I allready started on the factory.
The rear wall.

The battered and pepperd silo behind "outside"the factory.

The walkway that connects two factory-halls.
Also pepperd.

In inside of the factory.

Still got a long way to go.
Let the detailling begin.

WTF? W00000T??? stalingrad? s.IG.33 auf Pz.III?

you know that you just killed my contribution to the SPG group build, do you?

what a coincidence!

your start is absolutely phantastic and extremely promising! both, your factory and your model will be a comparison between eredivisie and hoofdklasse next to mine ... godverdomme!

you dutch people always make it look so easy to construct dio buildings and i am so lame in dioramas, the scenery i have almost finished was hard work and sometimes really painful - again: lovely, absolutely lovely factory!

cheers

Hi Planeteers,

sorry for the late reaction, but I've been busy whit all sorts of things lately.

Laura, Soory 'bout that. But do yourself a favour, and build it anyways, maybe we can learn from eachother. That's what this v-bench is about, right?
As for the speed of building, once you have the idea and materials, things sometimes happen really fast.

Johannes- thanx mate, an update will follow soon.

Marco- thanx, patience my friend, I'm working on the update.

Paul- Thanx, why don't pull it out? As I mentioned to Laura, maybe we can learn from eachother.

As I mentioned, updates will soon follow.

Hi Planeteers,

here's another update on the Baptism project.
After some basic detailing, it's time for more details.
I must add that I did some detailing in a crude way. It's a Russian factory right??

I am still looking for some stuff to put in the factory hall.
Sofar I have obtained: a drilling machine, a blow-torch, the rear engine hatch of a T-34 (the big one)and the basic metalbeams and parts lying around.
Sugestions anybody?

Anyway, the pics:

The scene as a whole:

The fusebox, I still have to atach this to the wall.

Basis electrical wiring:

The place where Ivan is going to stand:

The concrete floorin"g:

The rear as a whole:

The DeoSilo;-)

The top of the Silo:

The walkway:

Shoot please.
