I might be able to get some decals printed using an Alps printer- the only type that prints white.

Thank you guys for your comments.
I thought this kit was definitely "lost" but maybe not after all.
James : can you tell me more about this printer ?
This would save us !

Well I only know one guy that has one- he is in New Zealand. I'll introduce you to him and perhaps we can work together to get you what you need.

They are a very old type of printer that could... uhm how to express this in English... we call it in Turkish a "dry print", the ink used is not "wet" like an inkjet. As a result things you print are not easily affected by water. Plus (the BIG plus), unlike modern laser jets, ALPS printers could print white.

There are problems however... These things were expensive in their time, as far as I know and they are still not very cheap (at least to get them here to Turkey). Plus they are no longer produced, so parts and print cartridges (or whatever they use) are hard to come by.

I was chasing these printers over E-bay with a couple local modeler friends, but then we quit, too troublesome. Wish I had one and I could help.

I got an article in an old Fine Scale Modeler about ALPS. Do you want a scanned copy of it?

James. As I changed my mind I do not need the "RA" code letters any more, but thanks for offering. Maybe next time. Thanks again.
