Thumbs up Ford truck 3 ton. Aussie

Well, Gents...Another truck, another scratch !!!!!
1/35 scale, of course...
This quick project is the result of this picture:



It shows a Ford 3 tons, Australian, with a Caunter desert cammo ....

Here are the first steps: kit in resin of Panzer Resin Models, with some modifications:





the initial painting was like this:



and the final result was this:

Ops...I forgot to do the detail of the lateral glass..

Very nice project. I love seeing soft skins built up as looking at tanks every time can get a little old (did I just say that). Great job.

Outstanding build. I love softskins far more than Armour. Also my Grandfather served with the Australian Army Suply Copr in the Mid East during WWII and I bet he drove one of these.

Did you use the Ford Truck V3000 fro the front end and chassis? And then the what did you use the the cargo tray?

Panzer Models is throwing this kit in the market, complete, and them they sent me a pilot-kit for evaluation and assembly...

Beautiful !!!


...and your grandfather should have tons of histories and memoirs of the Conflict...
It should be a trip to hear this, directly of the memory of a veteran one...

He died over 30 years ago. I have his diarys and service records. I have done research into his unit etc. My mother has told me some of the stories he related to her over the years before he died. I was 10 when he went.
