Cromwell Mk.IV - "The Goodwood Assault"

Hi Gents,

I've been hanging around the forum for a while and thought I'd show you guys a work I did a couple years ago. I'm not sure
where to post this since there isn't a section for posting completed works. Here goes.

Didn't manage to take some decent photos of it until recently. The diorama represents the Polish 1st Armoured Div during
Operation Goodwood in Normandy. The scene depicts a Cromwell passing an abandoned kubelwagen during the fighting towards Caen.
All in all I was generally happy of how the diorama turned out though I planned on "re-visiting" the figures in the future as they
were rushed to complete the dio. I had fun building it in particular the groundwork. Attention was given to the groundwork and misc
stuff i.e. the bandage/dressing packet, ID/evacuation tags, concrete sign post and the telegraph pole.

Apologies on the large photos. Hope you like it.

That's a great job you got there Julian. The groundwork looks incredibly real and the vehicles look really used.

Any more work that you can show us?

WoW Julian, I'm very impressed, that's some great work. I've gone back a couple of time to really take it all in...you've put a lot of good stuff into this one.

Hello Julian!

Great work! Like the guys already mentioned the groundwork is superb. I really like the little details you’ve added. I will be on the lookout for more of your work.

Hi Julian

Superbly done dio Good to see some Allied stuff for a change.

What figures did you use?

Adrian Cronauer [imitating Walter Cronkite]: I just want to begin by saying to Roosevelt E. Roosevelt, what it is, what it shall be, what it was. The weather out there today is hot and shitty with continued hot and shitty in the afternoon. Tomorrow a chance of continued crappy with a pissy weather front coming down from the north. Basically, it's hotter than a snake's ass in a wagon rut.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Glad you like it.

Andrey, Curt, the bushes are dried vegetation that I got from an art store, the small grasses were static grass from Verlinden, taller ones were from the flourist.

Hola David! Como estas? Gracias por los comentarios I look forward to posting more works soon.

Hi Lawerence, the figures are from Verlinden I have in the sparebox.
