I would normally not get excited about a Sherman but I saw this photo in a gallery at Amorama yeterday and thought I would put it up here because it was so damn good! It is from the Californian Comp - SCAHMS 2006.
Its a Jumbo as well so that kinda helps too.
The dio has been done so that you feel as though the figures have turned around for the viewer to take a photo that you will see later in B+W in some Concord Publication on shermans . Enjoy!

Yes, Ian, this is very well done! thanks for posting -always good to share others' work that is of this caliber. Any idea of the modellers identity? Jim Starkweather has taken a few other shots of that dio and they are in that collection.
A link to more show pics at Armorama. (you have to sign in to see them though, I think)
SCAHMS California Show (2006)

I like this one  (bit brutal, just when you think you've successfully bailed out)

Wow, some great work there. I've seen the Sherman before, but it's still an awesome dio. The other one is pretty good too. I think I'd rather get shot in the head than be sent to one of those wonderful camps for Russian POWs though...

Wow, that is the best Shermie I think that I have seen.
Great dio and figgies. John Rosengrant also mastered some of the figures for a company which, actually is close to me, which name escapes me at the moment.

John did work for S&T miniatures. I hope some of those figures from the diorama make there way to the hobby shop shelves.

Ace dio, he's certainly made the viewer feel like they're the focus of the figures attention.
