Sd. Kfz 221 Bronco

Just finished the Sd.Kfz 221 kit from Bronco. I competed in the Online Forum Contest (FOC) of the Dutch twenot-forum (www.twenot-forums.nl).

Hope you enjoy it!

Rob.

Very impressive model. Weathering is greatly done - not too much, not too less either - just the right thing. ...and wheels and tires caught especially my eye.

I agree Glaurung, and the wheels and especially tires are what really caught my eye first too. It's an exceptional subject...very interesting and unique, and Rob has done a great job on it.

Thanks for your kind words!
The Sd.Kfz 221 is just a little different from the 222 or 223. When I saw the version with the truck style road wheels, I knew I had to build it!

The Bronco kit is great, though a bit inaccurate in certain area's, like the suspension and the steering system. I corrected the rear steering axle, an also added straps that connect the chassis to the hull. (On Missing-Lynx there is a great correction list).

About the camo: I wanted it to look like it was added on the field, so not a perfect pattern and a bit soft.

Rob.

It's a decal supplied with the kit, and applied with a lot of set and sol! :-)
