Wow, what great response!!

Thank you all who replied here and sent me email.....I have added the 1/35 scale hatch cages and 1/48 scale track sets to my site for pre-orders, as per your requests.

The cages are in fact quite sturdy, really surprised me. They will be packed in a hard plastic clear plastic clam shell case, which will be placed inside of a larger mailing box.

1/48 scale working track sets also added for pre-order: 3-Bar Cleat

1/48 scale working track sets also added for pre-order: Steel Cheveron

Is the final color of the cages going to be in clear?

No, the real ones were made from steel rods and painted.

I guess I am somewhat stumped by the original question, does it make a difference what color the kit parts are cast/printed/produced in?

YES!!!

clear or light tan resin are HORRIBLE colors for unpainted kit parts - why is that?

because you CANT SEE the detail!!

example - the very same resin figure and white metal figure side by side, the white metal figure will be more visually appealing and catch more attention because the finest points and details are much easier to "read" a.k.a SEE!!

it's all in the presentation!

ughhhhh.......OK....I thought that the photo of the part shown on the website was pretty darn clear and self explanitave. I would not need to see anymore "Details", it's a bleedin' steel rod hatch cage for Petes sake!!

I guess we could "X-ray" the part, or do a microscopic cross section cut-away...but, no I don't think that that's necessary,...is it?
