In the spares box we've only found the top part of the turret, so I've made a new bottom section out of white styrene.

For the Zimmerit I used Zwaluw's Universal Sandable Putty. I prefer it because of its texture when dry, its excellent adherence to plastic, and the fact that it could be removed at any time by simply applying pressure. It has the consistency of toothpaste, it's odorless and water soluble. I applied it in columns, one at a time, sandwiched between two masking tape strips, let it dry for ten minutes, then applied the pattern with a fine electical screwdriver. When completely dry I repeated the process. It took a while, but now the left side of the turret is done.

This is how FrankenTiger looks when completed. It is longer and has a lower roof over the driver and radioman (to help depress the 12.8 cm main gun of the Jagd- version). That only enhances the beautiful lines of the "Porsche" Kingtiger.
The rubber tracks come from a Trumpeter E50 and are fitted for show purposes. Hopefully she will get some nice metal tracks.
Paint: the body will retain its Jagdtiger scheme, the added roof section will be painted in red primer, and the turret will have its original weathered camo.

What-if Kingtiger "Porsche"

This is Frankentiger put together from various bits and pieces, before receiving its new camouflage coating. Weathering will be rather subdued, the individual components being cleaned before being taken to the workshop. The gun barrel is brand new, so it is primed in dark grey lacquer with the muzzle break black. The spots where Zimmerit fell off were primed (the paste did not adhere to paint well, so it was applied on bare metal), prior to receiving the new paint. Not sure about the turret numbering... Hand painted or stenciled? The roof of the fighting compartment, a new component, has received its red primer.
