Why did you choose the DML wheels over Tamiya's?

thanks a lot!

this will take some more time. It seems like the Wespe isn´t as finished as I thought.
I spoke with Niels Henkemann (who did the research for Echelon) and he told me some things I still need to consider, such as the brackets for the spare wheels. After looking in the WWP-book about the Wespe, I saw some more stuff I need to do, so there´s still some work.
I will keep you updated.

the Details on the DML-wheels are much better than on the Tamiya-wheels.
And as I like the Wespe more than the Marder II (this is where the wheels come from), I chose to use them here. I can still use the Tamiya ones on the Marder and muddy them up

While I have the WWP-Book about the Wespe, which covers the same vehicle from Munster, your pics showed some better details and some spots I need to work on.
Isn´t it a cute vehicle when standing next to it? I have seen it in Koblenz a couple of years ago and fell in love with it right away

I have some old style, (negative film) pics of this one at Koblenz too from a previous visit- I may remember to dig them out some time.

James,
you really do take excellent pics, something you show with each and every build and walkaround.
I would buy every book you bring out without even looking in it (as long as there is at least one pic with a rose in it

).

This is a very nice build, Markus. I like the Wespe too, very much, and always have. I've always liked open-topped SPGs, although like halftracks they are so much work to build well. This looks like a nice kit to start from.
