Hey Sergiusz! Once again, great job!

Here is my first dumb question.

If I understand correctly from this picture, you are using a sponge soaked in white spirit to wipe excess of the wash off. How did you protect your paint so it was not damaged by the spirit or the friction of the sponge?

Yes, I use it to wipe off the excess of paint (wash paint) The base is safe because it is acrylic so white spirit (the distillate of turpentine-i think that's the best and the cleanest product on the market! Talens also make White Spirit odourless. In my opinion it is the same as MiG's thinner for washes and Abtailung odourless turpentine but 1/2 cheaper in my country) Tamiya sponges are awesome tools, try it!

Just a correction: White spirit is not the distillate of turpentine, it's a distillate of petroleum.

read here:

http://www.talens.com/english/techni...subsubID=1.5.1

But it the Talens product seems to be a very good alternative to Mig's and the Abteilung's products, which IMO are quite pricy.

White spirit could be colled mineral turpentine. A mineral (petroleum)-based replacement for the vegetable-based organic solvent-turpentine. But in fact you are right it's not the destilate of turpentine... I also imply on the bottle markings "turpentine essence" Thanks for a correction!
Best regards - Sergiusz.
