Bmp3

Here are some pics of my BMP3, which is the Skif kit, updated with an Eduard etch set and a Model Point Turret update set, which l felt had better detail and dimensions about it.
The kit is painted in Tamiya acrylics mixed in various tones, to give it that used look and then washed over with an oil wash and a light dusting with Mig Pigments.
Please give me your comments, this is not a topic, that l do alot of.
Cheers Andrew

Very well done. Love to see some good modern Russian armor.

Andrew,

Nice camo scheme...I assume this is an Afghanistan vehicle?

I think you nailed the camo based on pics I've seen of vehicles that served there..... Or is that winter camo?

Any idea how this one compares with the Dragon kit released a long time ago, just curious? I think your update set did it justice...

Very well done!

Hi Serpico, yes you are correct in that it is a vehicle from Afghanistan, l did want to fade it off alot more than what you see, then l thought that it might then look over the top.
As for a comparison to the dragon kit, l have to admit l have not seen it, though they may be the same kit as Dragon have before put other brand name kits into their own box,s??
Thanks to you and everyone else for your comments
Cheers Andrew
