M61A5 MAIN BATTLE TANK - Bandai in 1/35

Hello everyone,
work is progressing. Tank almost finished, the board is pretty much over
(I recommend warmly to try the AguaPlast, awesome).
To you the photos (which are what they are expected to arrive soon but the right one, we hope!). As always ahead with the opinions and suggestions.
Mario

Send a message via ICQ to canjuaan
Kinda reminds me of the Mammoth tank in Command and Conquer: Red Alert.

Looks awesome, fantastic work!

I'm building one of these too. It is a GREAT kit. Not cheap, not easy to find (OOP?) but the fit is so good that it's probably the biggest and most expensive snap-tite kit you'll ever build.

Great work on the finish too, I think I'm going to go with the grey scheme too. I have too many other modern subjects to build that will be desert tan to have another tan tank in the display case.

best regards,
Curtis

Like said by T90 and HoleShot it's a Bandai kit in 1/35 scale. It's very easy to build, if you want you can build it without glue, but it's necessary if you want a good result.
To whom it may concern.
The first base was compiled from a mixture of XF-66, XF-19 and XF-1 plus a drop of Purple. Then I used a different mix of XF-66 and XF-19. XF-19 finally only pure. I then used the MIG filters BLUE for Panzer Gray and Gray for Bright White. Then sealed everything with Tamiya X-22. Place the decal, with the exception of "arrow" on the sides made from templates, I then wipe again with X-22. I used the following oils Black Ivory and Bruno Van Dick diluted with turpentine. I emphasized with selective washing the contor of some detail with washes of MIG, DARK WASH and BROWN WASH, fading them to blend better with a brush dipped in turpentine. With this step I also produced the drippings on the sides, the turret and the lower part of the vehicle.
The end with pigments, again MIG, I accentuated the effect in recesses and dust impenetrable recesses.
A nice hand of Mr. Surface and the work is finished.
Thanks guys for your appreciations.
Mario.
