Leichte Jagdpanzer 38 (t) - DML 1:35

Hello everyone!

Here's some photos of one of my projects. A Hetzer built from DML kit with sobe Aber photoetch and Friul metal tracks.

I have modified some details, added few weld seams and the steel plates texture was given too.

Next I primed model with a Mr.Surfacer and painted with Vallejo acrylics.

I had to modify gun's mantlet to represent earlier type.

And then I applied decals...

...when decals dried I started the weathering.

here's some effects given to the exhaust and muffler with it's cover

some oils wash, rains effect etc.

Here are the wheels during painting. I used a proxxon tool to made painting the tyres a little easier

Here's present state of my model. Those paint chips are painted with Vallejo 822, oil wash made of brown paint is given too.

Now it's time to paint the tracks and give some dust effect.

bye
Kuba

What did you use on the exhaust?

Thank You
Your kind replies ignites me to work with that model

About the exhaust, there are oils only applied over camouflage yellow base. Red brown (marsian red is the name, even if it's funny), brown and black. Smoothly applied by brush then spreaded up and down. I had used some turpentine to blend on muffler shield and white spirit to sharpen those effects on exhaust pipe. Works really fine, I think.

Now I work with the tracks, thank You again.

bye
Kuba
