Help with installing tracks

Can someone give me some tips for installing the rubber tracks with the 2 little 'pins' that go thru the holes and are supposed to be melted? The kit is an Italeri kit but I've seen them on others. Thank you.

TJ I heat up a small common nail head not red hot but pretty warm and
mushroom the plastic studs.
That works the best for me.
