First Time Post -- Marder III DAK

Hi everybody,

I'm new on the Forum and new in the models -- the model below is my third one. Intimidated by the fantastic quality of models shown here, I nevertheless have gotten the courage to post this WIP because feedback and criticism are the best way to develop one's skills

Thanks in advance for your time!

The model is Tamya's Marder III which is an enjoyable little kit. Still plenty of work remaining, but it would be great if you guys help me check if my watch is in sync

Have a nice day!

it's looking good. build looks good, has some interesting things going on with stowage and the figures. couple constructive things..... are those pastels rubbed in on the sides? can't quite figure it out the kinda reddish hue. not knocking it, just trying to figure out what you've done. that said, i think for a dak vehicle, you should consider some lighter dust and sand pigments and/or oils or overspray to try to lighten up the overall appearance. these vehicles would be in an extrememly dusty environment...... you're on the right track though, keep at it.

You definitely have talent and a good eye for detail and have done a nice job with this model.

DAK vehicles operated in a gritty, dusty, arid environment, so I'd go easy on the rust tones and think more along the lines of a "sandblasted" look. Some ground pastels or MIG pigments would do a nice job dusting 'er up a bit.

Other than that, keep up the good work!

BTW, feel free to take a look at my stuff and offer your opinions as well - I've been at this for around three years but am definitely still developing as a modeler as well.

Hi ! Why camouflage in your Marder is so dark?
Polak, Węgier, dwa bratanki, i do szabli, i do szklanki.
Lengyel, magyar – két jó barát, együtt harcol, s issza borát.
All this stands for this: The Pole and Hungarian two brothers, both with the saber, and with the glass.
