Vbench Test Drive - 1st post...Workbench

Hi all, this is the test drive for my new Vbench. It seemed appropriate that the first post show where the "work" gets done. The room is in an unfinished room in our basement. I share the room with the cat box and some clutter...but it's home!

A couple of shots of the work desk.

and a few shots of some finished works.

The floors are cement, which keeps the "carpet monters" at bay, and make spills a non-issue. There are 2 small windows at ground level which let in a bit of light, and can be opened for fresh air (when it gets warmer).

Thanks for the welcome to Planet Armor, Rick

Hello Rick!

It seems like your first thread test was a success . Thatís a nice working space man. The finish model cabinet sure looks good. You do have quite a lot of work done (or maybe I am a super slow modeler ) Anyways, looking forward to see more of your work.

Dave

It sure does look a great place to build. You have some real fine lookin' diorama's there! Doesn't it worry ya' that they're all collectin' dust?

It is an issue, but oh well....! Perhaps if I build fast enough the dust can't collect.

Yeah, that was a problem for me Paul. I have a Tiger that has been damage by the years of collecting dust and now itís at the point where I have to reconstruct him. Itís sad when you put so much effort into a model and then have it get ruined by dust.

If you can Rick, get a glass door installed on your cabinets. Or find a way to cover the shelves so dust canít get in. Especially if the floor of your workshop is bare cement.
