NEW US Halftrack from Trumpeter

Looks like a nice new kit for Allied fans. Maybe not everyone's favorite scale but if it's on par with their T-34's....it'll rock.

Info has also been posted over at PMMS now.

1/16 is a bit too big for me but I am sure a 1/35 will follow soon. I am more interested in a standard US halftrack. I would paint it with balkenkreuz in Africa and jam packed with battle weary DAK troops.

This is good news as it will start the ball rolling to fill this big gap in Allied armor. Can't wait to see Dragon aand AFV Club jump in and produce the whole family.

Yes, even I the staunchest of Axis builders would love to build a U.S. Halftrack in 35th scale. Especially an IDF version.

I managed to snap some photos of the turret from a M16 in Hanoi. It's missing it's guns. Original photos are 5 Megapixels but have been resized for this post. Let me know if anyones needs it with higher resolution.

If this kit will be as good as the T-34 it will certainly be a nice one. My fingers are starting to itch a little bit, but i'm really hoping on a 1/16 sherman from trumpeter.

Regards,

Richard
