Very nice work, Zsolt! My cousin has a thing to say: "A szegecsek is kopnak m!" I think he is right, thought I'm not sure of the level of wear...
Cheers
Arthur

Very nice. I want to build one of these, some day...

Another time, try using a saw blade to position your screws. It keeps them straight and you can space them evenly by counting saw teeth.

Cheers

Thanks guys!
Scott, that's a great idea! I used masking tape this time to line them up but this saw blade thing sounds far better!

Small update

Really small update - I started the gun, cut the original barrel and replaced with Eduard. Then some PE tuning (also Eduard).

In the meanwhile I made a handful of "dummy ammo" - As the ammo storage is quite well hidden by the turret basket and the seats of the driver and the machine-gunner I decided not to use the Verlinden ammo but created brass-coloured "shells" from 1.5mm styrene rod and glued on them black-grey "projectile" from 1mm styrene rod (no photo yet).
Also painted the interior white - and have a question: does anyone have a picture of the wiring of radios in Stuarts? I could not find any useful stuff on the net...
Thanks & cheers,
Zsolt

Lucky

Hi folks,
Lucky me, got some spare time again. I worked on the turret and it seems that I have a chance to finish this little tank in 2009. I hope I'm not too optimistic
Academy overdone the gun shield cast-texture so I had to sand it to correct somewhat. Also had to eliminate some bolt heads because the M3A1 was welded - and Academy did not mind it.

The AA machine gun mount was replaced with Eduard PE and some styrene rod. The holes for the original were filled with putty and sanded. Looks far better than the kit part. I think.

The parts of the AA machine gun and the result.

The interior of the basket:

And the gun (and coax MG) in place.

Thats all for today.
Cheers,
Zsolt
